Overview
Established in 2018, CyberDice is a provably fair Bitcoin dice site with daily wagering contests, a low 1% house edge, a 24/7 live chat customer support team, a mobile friendly design, and a Bitcoin dice faucet.
CyberDice is developed by the same experienced team responsible for OneHash – a popular mutual Bitcoin betting platform. Similar dice sites include Stake.com, Primedice, Bustadice, and Roobet. You can read our full CyberDice review below.
Country Restrictions
CyberDice appears to accept players from across the globe without restrictions.
How To Play
To play at CyberDice, start by creating your player account and depositing funds to the gaming hub.
When you’re ready to play, you’ll first have to choose between the two dice game modes: Manual and Auto. Manual Mode is fairly basic, while Auto Mode lets you play with a more strategic approach and make adjustments to just about everything.
There is also a Hyper Mode that lets you play x2.5 faster than Auto Mode, but this dice game mode isn’t available to just anyone. This feature locked for gamblers until the player wagers at least 1 BTC lifetime. To activate Hyper Mode gameplay, head into the “Game Settings” and look for the checkbox for Hyper Mode.
Next, set your game parameters. You can do this by adjusting your “Roll Amount”, “Multiplier”, “Roll Target”, and “Win Chance” by using the cyber-slider, or by changing them all manually.
In Auto Mode you can adjust additional parameters in order to tweak your winning gameplay strategy exactly to your playing style. By tinkering with the sliders, you’ll notice the potential profit and wins per round will adjust accordingly.
Finally, click “Let’s Roll” or “Start” to play your first dice game.
Fairness
CyberDice allows all players to verify the fairness and check the integrity of every roll in order to confirm that they are not being manipulated. The Bitcoin dice site’s random numbers are generated thanks to the use of two separate seeds – a server seed, and your client seed.
The server seed is created before you specify your client seed (you don’t need to do it), ensuring that any manipulation attempt regarding the server seed is not possible. Both components, along with the nonce (number of bets made with a given seed pair), are used to create a provably fair roll number within the range between 0 and 99.99.
Seeds
Remember that all CyberDice users can change and verify the seeds being used. To do this, click the “Seed Settings” button. Before you specify your own provably fair seed, you are shown the SHA256 hash of the server seed that will be used alongside whichever seed you decide on.
Changing the client seed used will also reveal the previous server seed, which you can then verify was the seed CyberDice hashed and showed you.
Roll Numbers
To create a roll number, CyberDice takes advantage of a multistep process to create a roll number 0-99.99. Both user and server seeds and a nonce are combined with hmac-sha512 (server_seed, client_seed-nonce) which consequently generates a provably fair hex string.
The nonce is the number of bets you made with the current pair of seeds. Then, the first five characters are taken from the hex string to create a roll number that is from the range between 0 and 1,048,575. If the roll number is over 999,999 the process is repeated with the next five characters skipping the previous set.
This is done until a number less than 1,000,000 is achieved. In the highly unlikely scenario that all possible 5 character combinations are greater, 99.99 is used as the roll number. The outcome number from the range between 0 and 999,999 is applied a module of 1,000 to obtain a roll number from the range between 0 and 9,999 and divided by 100 to arrive at a number from the range between 0 and 99.99.
House Edge
CyberDice has a house edge of 1.0%. The expected return of each wager is displayed below the multiplier, labeled “Win Chance”.
Regulatory License
CyberDice’s parent company Blockchain Entertainment B.V. is licensed and authorized by the Government of Curacao.
Customer Support
There are a handful of support channels available to players at CyberDice including live chat, email address, BitcoinTalk, or by using the chat box located directly on the site. The in-site chat box is the fastest customer service resource, but if you opt to speak with a customer support representative instead, simply click the “Support” icon floating at the bottom of the website.
You can also email CyberDice directly at contact@onehash.com. General newbie member questions may also be covered in the dice site’s FAQ section.
