Monkey Knife Fight Review
Overview
Founded in 2018, Monkey Knife Fight was a daily fantasy sports site that offered daily contests across a wide range of professional sports including NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, and Esports. In September 2020, Monkey Knife Fight acquired FantasyDraft in a deal that included the company absorbing all of their competitor’s assets and user base. In March 2021, Bally’s Corporation acquired Monkey Knife Fight for up to $90 million in stock.
On February 28th, 2023, Monkey Knife Fight announced via Twitter that the site was shutting down permanently. While in operation, Monkey Knife Fight was the third largest DFS company behind Draftkings and FanDuel, but was most commonly compared alongside Underdog Fantasy.
Sponsorships
Monkey Knife Fight has partnered with six MLB teams including the Milwaukee Brewers, San Diego Padres, Miami Marlins, Minnesota Twins, San Francisco Giants and Texas Rangers. NFL partnerships include the Miami Dolphins, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Los Angeles Chargers.
Through a deal with AEG, Monkey Knife Fight was also a partner with the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings, MLS’ Los Angeles Galaxy, and AHL’s Ontario Reign. Regarding individual athletes, Monkey Knife Fight sponsored PGA golfer Charley Hoffman.
