Security & Fairness

To ensure operating honestly, Primedice has implemented a provably fair algorithm to provide a completely transparent and verifiable solution to the handling of pre-determined bet outcomes. In short, this means that as a player you have complete power over your gambling experience, and can be assured there is true randomness when you play at Primedice.

Seeds

In the provably fair tab, users can change and verify seeds used. To do this, click “Re-randomize” near the top of the provably fair tab. Before you specify your own seed, you are shown the SHA256 hash of the server seed that will be used alongside whichever seed you pick.

Changing the client seed used will also reveal the previous server seed, which you can then verify was the seed we hashed and showed you.

Roll Numbers

To create a roll number, Primedice uses a multi-step process to create a roll number 0-99.99. Both client and server seeds and a nonce are combined with HMAC_SHA256 which will generate a hex string.

The nonce is the # of bets you made with the current seed pair. First five characters are taken from the hex string to create a roll number that is 0-1,048,575.

If the roll number is over 999,999, the process is repeated with the next five characters skipping the previous set. This is done until a number less than 1,000,000 is achieved.

In the astronomically unlikely event that all possible 5 character combinations are greater, 99.99 is used as the roll number. The resulting number 0-999,999 is applied a modulus of 10^4, to obtain a roll number 0-9999, and divided by 10^2 to result a 0-99.99 number.

According to a Curacao Gaming verified seal located in the website’s footer, Primedice is licensed and authorized by the Government and Laws of Curacao and operates under the master license of gaming services provider, No. 1668/JAZ as an informative service provider.

The validation certificate also indicates that the site has passed all compliance and is legally authorized to conduct gaming operations for all games of chance and wagering.

Primedice allows players to deposit using a handful of the most popular cryptocurrencies in world including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Ripple, Dogecoin, and Bitcoin Cash. To play, you’ll need to transfer tokens to the appropriate wallet on the deposit page.

Please double check that you are sending the right tokens to your deposit account. Send Ethereum to your Ethereum deposit address, XRP to your XRP address, etc. If you send the wrong tokens to the wrong deposit address, those tokens could be lost forever, and Primedice will not be able to provide any help in retrieving them.

Roll 77.77 twice in a row to win. The percentage of the jackpot won depends on how much you bet: Over 0.01 BTC: 100%, Over 0.001 BTC 10%, Over 0.0001 BTC 1%. The percentage won is the minimum of both bets if they are different values. Anything less than 0.0001 is not eligible.

The first week we sustained massive losses and my father pleaded with me to give up before I went bankrupt. Against his advice, I stubbornly continued pouring money into the site, and eventually our basic 0-100 dice game grew legs.

Fast forward 5 years, millions of accounts and 22 billion bets later, and we celebrate the positive impact this website has had on cryptocurrency and online gambling.
